What is it about summer that gives you that wonderful feeling of endless possibilities? Is it simply that the days are longer and the nights are warmer? Does it go back to those wonderful years of long breaks from school with lazy afternoons? After all, what’s not to love? With our summer officially here I have my eyes set on plenty of crafty shenanigans to while away all this free time (as if such a thing actually existed for moms…but I digress). I’ve recently discovered a love for rustic design. After all, my kiddos are going to beat it up anyway I might as well use it to my advantage! So, I will be featuring a few projects (and the FINALLY finished awkward spaces project!!) using old barnwood to get that rustic, yet comfy look in your home. Here are a few ideas to get your creativity going…think mason jars, burlap, metal, and anything with old wood.
Do you have any fun things planned for this summer?

I’m going to be organizing the house and the kids will be organizing their rooms. We also do fun things like play outside and go on fun errands, like walk around the mall.
