“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” ~ Helen Keller
This quote by Helen Keller was the inspiration behind my choice of tees from the new line of Life Is Tees from Cents of Style. I was charged with choosing the saying that reflected my story the best. I have to admit, it wasn’t an easy choice. After all, all of the sayings are pretty great-tough,grand,sweet,beautiful-I’d like one of each please. I ultimately chose that Life Is An Adventure because in looking back on how my life as turned out so far, “adventure” was by far the most accurate.
When most people think of adventure, they usually think travel- you know, the whole wind in your sails sort of thing. Every new place is a new adventure. Well, that isn’t exactly my style. I’m more for the flying by the seat of my pants sort of adventure.
But that’s kind of the point, isn’t it?
I haven’t traveled the world. I haven’t been to countless historic places, or soaked up the sun on exotic beaches. So then why would I choose Adventure, you ask…?
It’s all about perspective. The simple fact of the matter is that life doesn’t always turn out the way we plan. Life is messy. But it’s our interpretation of those events that make it a grand adventure. I’ve been very blessed- I have a wonderful husband, three healthy children, and a job I love. Yes, days are crazy, there are more sleepless nights than I can count, somebody ALWAYS needs something, and you never really know what might happen. I have marker scribbles hidden behind my curtains, get felled by a rogue Lego every single day, and a solid 90% of the things in my house are made of plastic. Some may call my house a total disaster….
I call it, an adventure…

I couldn’t be happier with my shirt, it is really soft and light. It fits me true to size and the V neck is flattering without going to the depths of Kardashian revealing. Ohhh lala…
Sure, I had high hopes a “super glam” shot of me in my rockin’ new tee but let’s face it- the camera was in the hands of my 4 yo Little Miss and it was quite an adventure. I wanted glam, this is what I got (thanks a lot Little Miss)
Now you know my choice. Get talking and let me know; what would your shirt say?
